  3. Investigational 
  4. ‚Ä¢  Adjuvant chemotherapy must still be considered
  5.   investigational, but several studies have shown a modest
  6.   increase in disease-free survival and overall survival.
  7. ‚Ä¢ Treatment with radiation or chemotherapy or both before
  8.   surgery has been used on an investigational basis in patients
  9.   with Stage IIIA disease. Preliminary results suggest that
  10.   there may be benefit by combining all three treatments in
  11.   selected cases. Newer trials are giving cisplatin with
  12.   etoposide , vinca alkaloids or other agents together with
  13.   radiation, followed by surgery.
